Michaeline “Mickey” Strazzeri of South Scranton died Saturday September 30, 2017 at Moses Taylor Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Dunmore she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Catherine Lazzara Strazzeri. Educated in Dunmore schools, prior to retirement she was employed by General Dynamics.
Mickey’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Moses Taylor Hospital, Dr. John Diakiw, and her special friends for all of their kind and compassionate care.
Surviving are sisters-in-law Eleanor Strazzeri, Scranton and Eleanor Somma, Connecticut; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers Michael, Cataldo, Jake, Louis, and Joseph; sister Ann Perna.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave. with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, St. Paul of the Cross Parish, 1217 Prospect Ave. Entombment will follow in Italian-American Cemetery.
Friends and family may pay their respects Tuesday from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
