After a courageous battle with cancer, Mary Ann Walsh passed away peacefully on Sunday in the arms of the Lord.
Mary Ann was a very kind and loving person. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Always with a smile on her face, she had an immense love for her family and her children were her pride and joy. Mary Ann had a very special bond with her daughter, Kristen, who was always by her side, as well as her son, Ryan and grandson, Riley.
She is survived by a loving husband of 38 years, Robert D. Walsh; a son, Ryan Walsh; a daughter, Kristen Walsh; and grandson, Riley Walsh.
Also surviving are brothers, Charles Simon Jr. and Michael Simon; and sister, Sharon Badick, all of Scranton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert “Robbie” Walsh.
The family is grateful for the special, loving care provided by Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Scranton.
Funeral services will be held by assistant pastor Brian Mascaro of Clarks Green Assembly of God on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Miller Bean Funeral Home, 436 Cedar Ave., Scranton. Interment in Fairview Memorial Park will be held at a later date.
