Summa
Obituary for Frank Summa
Born in Dunmore he was the son of the late Frank and Pearl Rapp Summa. He attended Scranton Central High School and proudly served in the Unites States Army. Prior to his retirement he was the owner/operator of Summa’s Quarry in Starrucca.
Aside from being a very hard worker, he was a member of the Blue Stone Association, a collector of antique tractors and enjoyed attending tractor shows. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
Also surviving are a son Frank Summa III, Dalton and longtime girlfriend Lori Ganser, Dunmore; brother Paul Summa and wife Diane, Throop; sister Paulette Mott and husband Carl, Mt. Cobb, and Nancy Hann, Moosic; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers Michael and Theodore Summa; nephew Teddy Summa.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 9:30 A.M. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc. 436 Cedar Ave. Scranton, with Rev. Joseph Sica as celebrant. Interment with Military Honors in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Social Services 516 Fig St. Scranton, PA 18505.
