Obituary for Judith A. Brink

Judith A. Brink of South Abington Township died unexpectedly Thursday July 14 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She was the widow of James Brink who died on November 21, 2005.
Born July 6, 1938 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Evelyn Oakley James. She was educated in Scranton schools.
Surviving are daughters Linda Nealon and husband Thomas, Clarks Summit, Susan Gilroy and husband Joseph, Scranton; step-son John Brink and wife Donna, Scranton; grandchildren Tara, Seamus, and Emmet Nealon, Emma, Bobby, and Kelsey Gilroy, Brian and Eric Brink, and Jayme Price; sister Marlene “Bluey” Gallagher, Scranton; and beloved companion Charles Galli, Scranton; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Aunt Virginia Oakley; sister Marilyn “Pinky” Coyne; step-son Edward Brink; and step-daughter Barbara Brink.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. in Our Lady of the Snows Parish, 301 State St. Clarks Summit. Interment in Cathedral Cemetery will be private.
Donations can be made to the American Kidney Fund 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300 Rockville, Maryland 20852 in her honor.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care of the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave. Scranton.
