Kimes
Obituary for Howard W. Kimes
Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Howard H. and Mary Crossin Kimes. A graduate of Scranton Technical High School, prior to his illness he was employed by Cinram in their logistics department. Howard tended bar for many years at the 606 Club and was a member of the Nativity Social Club.
Also surviving are daughter Jennifer Kimes, Moosic; Danny Kimes; step-son Jim Owens, Archbald; grandchildren Deserae and Jim Jr.; 2 great-grandchildren; sister Judy Stewart and husband Raymond, Browndale; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister Ann Kimes.
A blessing service will be conducted Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., Scranton, Interment Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart 600 Baltimore Dr. Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702 or to the Carbondale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center 10 Hart Pl. Carbondale, PA 18407.
