Lois W. Morgan of South Abington Township died Tuesday January 31, 2017 at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit. She was the widow of John G. Morgan who passed away in 1995 after 44 years of marriage.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Reid Wagner
A graduated of Scranton Technical High School, Class of 1948 she was
employed by Scranton Electric Co,. PP&L, Powers Department Store and retired from Akzo Salt
Company.
She was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church, Justus, serving as a trustee and Clerk of the church, and the Loyal Links Sunday School Class.
Lois’s family would like to thank Dr. Anthony Freda and staff for their loving care over the years and to the staffs of Geisinger CMC, Abington Manor, and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassionate care.
Surviving are three sons, John G. and wife, Patricia, of Scott Twp., Calvin D., Weatherly and Scott
A. and wife Donna of White Mills, PA.
She was blessed with nine grand-children, John M., Weatherly, PA, Sarah Morgan, Beach Lake,
PA, Marissa, Germany, Scott, Jr., Honesdale, PA, Samuel, Ft. Drum, NY, Nathan, Great Falls,
Montana, Daniel, Jeremiah and Noah, White Mills, PA.; two great-grandchildren, Isaiah and
Ashlynn Boden, Beach Lake, PA; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Carlena Wagner, daughter-in-law Carol Morgan, mother and father and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Grace and Ivor Morgan.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave. with Rev. Donald Hasselman officiating. Private interment will follow in Mount Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Justus. Family and friends may call Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
