Theodore J. “Teddy” Balandis of Scranton died Saturday August 19, 2017 at Moses Taylor Hospital following a brief illness. His wife of 15 years and companion of 25 years is the former Debbie Trovato.
Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Theodore and Anna Mae Balandis. Educated in Scranton schools, prior to his illness he was employed as a Harley Motorcycle mechanic.
Ted was passionate about Harley’s and loved to work on them. He was an avid NASCAR and Washington Redskins fan.
Also surviving are son Teddy Balandis Jr. and wife Roz, Arizona; step-children Belinda Shea and fiancé Roy, Scranton and Danielle Policare and husband Dave, Pittston; 4 granddaughters and 1 great-grandson.
A blessing service will be held Friday at 7 pm in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc. 436 Cedar Ave. Scranton. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends and family may pay their respects Friday from 5 pm until service time.
